Human Resources Assistant
Job Title: Human Resources AssistantJob Description The Human Resources Assistant will perform essential administrative functions such as managing employee benefits, recruiting, and interviewing. This role also involves strategic planning and policy management to enhance company productivity and improve business results. Responsibilities + Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and resolving work-related problems. + Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment. + Plan and conduct new hire orientation. + Support the HR manager with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for refereeing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures. + Conduct investigations, manage new hire onboarding, and assist with employee relations and pay issues within the Lafayette facility. Essential Skills + 0-2 years of experience in human resources. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). + Strong communication skills. + Consistent job tenure. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in administrative support. Work Environment This position is onsite at the Lafayette Distribution Center, operating on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential fluctuations. The work environment primarily consists of office work, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor. Metatarsal guard shoes are required and will be reimbursed up to $150.00. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
