Duration: 6‑week contract (strong potential for extension)

Location: Fully Onsite – Bloomington, MN

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30/5:00pm

Position Overview

The Human Resources Specialist will support day-to-day HR operations with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, and onboarding/offboarding. This role partners closely with the HR Manager and serves as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to pay, benefits, and HR processes.

This is an immediate-need role covering an HR team member on leave and is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys process ownership, accuracy-driven work, and being a trusted support resource. This role supports approximately 110 employees across manufacturing/warehouse, administrative, and field-based sales/service teams. Comfort supporting a multi-site workforce is important.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end biweekly payroll processingSupport benefits administration, including employee inquiries and vendor coordinationManage onboarding and offboarding processes and documentationServe as a key HR contact for employee questionsMaintain HR records, tracking logs, and reconciliationsAssist with FMLA tracking, benefit billing, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

2+ years of HR experience with payroll and/or benefits exposureDemonstrated experience of biweekly payroll cycleStrong Excel skills (tracking, reconciliation, reporting)Experience with Paychex Flex (nice to have)Exposure to HSA and 401(k) administration (nice to have)Familiarity with FMLA processes and benefit billing (nice to have)Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomington, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
