Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRainin is seeking a strategic, empathetic, and operationally minded HR Business Partner to support our dynamic Production and Operations teams. This role is pivotal in nurturing culture, enabling performance, and aligning HR practices with business priorities across the employee life cycle. Hybrid work schedule, based out of our Oakland office.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers within production and operations Drive employee engagement and support culture-building initiatives Lead HR programs including onboarding, performance support, offboarding, and employee data integrity Manage HR systems, benefits administration, leave coordination, and compliance processes Provide first-line support for managerial inquiries, escalating complex matters appropriately Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to align talent strategies with business objectives What You’ll Bring Proven ability to partner with diverse client groups, ideally in operational, production and manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and systems/process management Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—confident, clear, and empathetic Adept at balancing strategic insight with hands-on support across core HR functionsWhat You Need to SucceedBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field with 5+ years of progressive HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and a manufacturing environmentSHRM-CP or PHR certification highly preferred. Strong knowledge of HR legal, compliance, and best practices applied to business scenarios. Proven business partner experience aligning HR strategies with business goals. Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and focus on results. Skilled in managing complex projects, leading initiatives, and facilitating training. Experience with HRIS, HR analytics, and advanced Microsoft Office skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence at all levels. Experienced in employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
