Human Resource Assistant

Description

The HR Assistant will play a key role in supporting the recruiting and onboarding process, maintaining HR data, and ensuring smooth communication with candidates. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to administrative support.Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to candidates regarding application status.Provide timely updates on background check progress and next steps.Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate availability.Review incoming applications for completeness and qualifications.Help post job openings on internal and external platforms.Support recruiter during interviews and orientations.Maintain and update HR spreadsheets tracking headcount, turnover, and other key metrics.Assist with onboarding documentation and logistics.Help facilitate new hire orientation sessions.Provide administrative support to the recruiter, including calendar management, follow-ups, and documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).1–2 years of experience in HR or recruiting support.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
