Overview
We are currently recruiting a Human Factors specialist to work on passenger transport projects in NSW. This is aimed at early to mid-career HF Consultants who have also developed an understanding of safety engineering practices.
Location- Sydney, NSW
Duration- Permanent, Monday-Friday, Standard Hours
Salary- $90,000 - $120,000 + Super
Benefits- Hybrid 2 days WFH, Paid Membership
Responsibilities Support the delivery of human factors and system safety consulting projects across the east coast. Apply human factors and system safety principles to safety?critical projects primarily within the rail & transport domain Produce HF deliverables under the guidance of senior consultants – including outcomes regarding Human factors integration plans Human factors assurance HF issue logs Human Centred Design Safety documents such as OSHA, FFA, Hazard logs Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities when they arise. This may include contractors, existing clients, rail operators. Engage in ongoing professional development to build expertise in human factors, system safety, and systems engineering.
Required Experience Tertiary Degree in a related discipline such as Engineering, Psychology, Ergonomics, Industrial Design or Human Movement Working knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 9241, AS7470 or DSAPT Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law or EN codes would be advantageous Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication
