Human Factors Attribute Engineer

We accomplish this by creating high-level systems engineering documents using human factors principles and leading cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that will delight our customers. This requires close collaboration with Design, Digital Product Design, Human Centered Design, Marketing, Engineering and Program Management The ideal candidate is passionate about in vehicle experiences and committed to improving the products we deliver. **Responsibilities:** Lead cross-feature and functional teams to develop fully, well-thought-out physical experiences through the program lifecycle with the following responsibilities: + Responsible for translating physical concepts into attribute level requirement documents + Communicate experiences in the language of engineering targets and requirements for the downstream Feature and Function owners + Collaborate on the design, development, and delivery of innovative solutions that would improve customer satisfaction + Craft use cases to demonstrate usefulness, usability, and desirability of physical experiences + Identify, develop and conduct research to understand customer preferences + Cascade attribute requirements to feature and functional teams + Lead issue resolution and coordinate delivery between multiple Functions to ensure designs are compatible with Customer Experiences, Attribute targets, Corporate requirements, Service, Assembly, etc. + Verify human factors attribute requirements delivered meet customer expectations **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related degree + 5+ years Engineering Work Experience or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong sense of customer empathy, problem identification and resolution + Passion for user experience, customer-centered design and product excellence + Ability to translate abstract concepts into actionable items for implementation + Proficient with Microsoft Office Skills + Excellent teamwork, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills required + Ability to present findings and point of view effectively with management and other organizations + Familiarity with systems engineering principles and techniques + Comfortable working on changing demands and early vehicle program work + Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal direction + Willingness to learn new tools to continuously improve skillsets + Proficient in Catia, Teamcenter, MagicDraw, FEDE, JAMA You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
