An EHS Program Manager oversees and implements an organization's environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves developing policies, procedures, and programs, monitoring workplace conditions, and implementing corrective actions. They also conduct audits, train employees, and communicate EHS information to stakeholders. 

Work can be performed from Gdynia or Warszawa.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and Implementing EHS Programs:

This includes creating and updating policies, procedures, and programs to address various EHS risks and concerns. 

 

Ensuring Compliance:

Monitoring and maintaining compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards. 

 

Managing EHS Programs:

Overseeing the implementation, tracking, and performance of EHS programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans. 

 

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

Identifying and evaluating EHS risks, developing strategies to mitigate those risks, and designing programs to minimize potential harm. 

 

Communication and Training:

Communicating EHS information to employees, management, and other stakeholders, conducting safety training programs, and promoting a strong safety culture. 

 

Auditing and Inspection:

Conducting regular audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance. 

 

Continuous Improvement:

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS programs and processes, and implementing changes to enhance safety and environmental performance. 

 

Additional Responsibilities may include:

Managing EHS budgets and resources .Leading projects related to EHS improvement .Developing and maintaining EHS management systems .Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders .Facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments and teams .

Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent preferred5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a similar industryExperience with EHS management systems and software platformsStrong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation proceduresUnderstanding of environmental compliance requirements and sustainability practicesStrong project management capabilitiesBudget management experienceExcellent verbal and written communication abilities
