Health, Safety, Security & Environment Manager - JLL
What this job involves
The HSSE Manager directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the JLL HSSE management systems at Client facilities. In this capacity, you will be accountable to provide guidance, identify the resources and equipment necessary to implement HSSE management systems and compliance programs related to JLL scope of work at Client locations. You will advise the JLL management team on HSSE issues, evaluate potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and ensure JLL compliance with all HSSE regulatory and Client requirements.
What your day-to-day will look like
Provide leadership and support the development and implementation of HSSE management systems and compliance programs at Client sitesTeam with JLL Site Team and the account HSSE Manager to establish HSSE performance goals and review performance against those goalsTrack and report HSSE metrics and measure performance against key performance indicators; establish necessary plans to meet or exceed KPIsDirect the implementation of HSSE Committees suitable to the site's needsDevelop and implement HSSE qualification programs to manage JLL service partners working at Client locationsEvaluate hazards on client sites for safety, health, and environmental risksDevelop environmental, health and safety procedures and programs for JLL activities and monitor safety compliance to reduce risksDevelop inspection programs and establish regular inspection schedulesIdentify training requirements and coordinate training sessions for HSSE regulatory and Client training requirementsEstablish record management and retention policies; ensure required records are kept available according to regulatory and JLL requirementsEnsure HSSE policies and procedures are developed, updated, implemented, and followedAssist the JLL Site Team in accident investigation and communication processes, including identification of root causesMaintain liaison with client HSSE organization to ensure problems are identified and solutions coordinatedDrive the implementation of programs and initiatives necessary to foster a strong HSSE cultureKey Interactions:
Internal: JLL Site Facility Management, account HSSE Director, Site Team, Account Manager, Operations Managers, Chief Engineers, WPS Managers, Technicians, JLL Risk ManagementClient: Client HSSE Team at the SiteExternal: HSSE Related Regulatory Agencies, JLL Service PartnersRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or related subjectBroad-based knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety regulationsMinimum of five years of experience working with HSSE compliance and management systems, preferably within facility operationsSuccess working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectivesExcellent skills in written and oral communicationBasic computer skills with both word processing and database applicationsAbility to drive and inspect both outdoor and indoor areas to observe compliance with established programsMust be able to travel (20%-30%)Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or professional designation such as OHST, ASP, or CSPHSSE experience in biopharmaceutical, research, or maintenance operationsLocation: Onsite
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-330p
Compensation: 105k-120k (10% annual target bonus included)
