HSSE Coordinator ( Based in Japan / Local hire)
  Role Purpose Operating with close supervision, the incumbent shall be responsible to monitor the HSSE conditions and practices of MOPS/OFS influenced sites. They should be able to provide advises and enforce of control measures to ensure that the workforce are safe at all times. Key Accountabilities HSSE Regulation and Standards Implementation Possess sound knowledge of local statutory HSSE Regulations and Industry HSSE standards to ensure their correct implementation. Understands the company’s HSSEQ policies, requirements and procedures and the specific HSSE requirements for the projects assigned. Monitoring of EPCI HSSE Activities Monitors EPCI activities of the projects, identifies HSSE issues and proposes preventive and corrective measures so as to provide a safe and environment-friendly working environment. Inspections Routinely inspects the work areas and equipment including subcontractors to identify unsafe acts and conditions; advises line-management of areas requiring management intervention as well as on HSSE legislative and industry standards. Incident Management Coorindates and communicate with cross department in accident/incident investigation and prepares investigation reports factually and timely. Compile and analyze incident data to identify trends. Coorindates and communicate with cross department in accident/inc Plan and coordinate Project-related HSSE Audits, report the gaps and ensure all non-comformances are monitored in MIMS. Compiles and prepares all HSSE-related records and reports to be recorded into MIMS. Emergency Response Establishes and maintains emergency response plan for MOPS/OFS influenced sites including communications and drills. Ensure Emergency Plans are aligned with Corporate HSSE Procedure. HSSE Training Programmes Plan and coordinate Project-related HSSE plans and programmes such as Safety Promotion Campaigns, Occupational Health & Wellness Programme and HSSE-specific training programmes. Documentation & Reporting Maintain comprehensive HSSE records. Generate periodic reports on HSSE KPIs as part of the annual HSSEQ Targets and Goals. Analyse the deviations and stay updated with changes in legislations, Corporate HSSE procedures and ensure relevant documentation is updated accordingly. Communcation Communicating HSSE guidelines, updates, and best practices to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. Risk Management Risk Management   Qualifications - Degree in Occupational Health & Safety/Engineering or its equivalent.
- Min 5 years of progressive experience as a Safety Officer with exposure to the type of work performed on EPCI projects.
- Completed Certification as a Workplace Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) through the Ministry of Manpower, or equivalent/similar for overseas base.
- Must have knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO14001, internal auditor certifications preferred.
- Hot Work Assessor Certification is preferred.
- Fire Safety Certification is preferred.
  Competencies Technical: - Risk Assessment & Problem solving Techniques
- Mandarin or Portuguese depending on location
