PRL15 HSE Superintendent

Position in the Organization Chart: Reports to: PRL15 RSES / Site Manager Functional Reporting: H&S/OPS Manager in Port Moresby Job Dimension: Liaises with all HSE Advisors of contractors involved in PRL15. Manages a team that may include: HSE Officer(s) PTW Coordinators Fire Team Leader Emergency Response Team (ERT) HSE & Personal Responsibilities: Ensure Operator HSE rules and standards are applied in all activities. Prioritize personnel safety and environmental protection. Complete required HSE training and assessments. Lead by example in upholding HSE standards. Key Activities: Operational Oversight: Ensure safe execution of all site activities in compliance with company referential. Promote HSE culture through awareness campaigns and initiatives. Develop and update operational HSE documentation. Administer and verify the Permit to Work (PTW) system. Conduct site audits and verifications (e.g., PTW audits, Life Saving Checks). Organize and lead HSE meetings, including quarterly COSITE meetings. Manage Downgraded Situations (DGS) and Derogations. Review and validate Job Risk Assessments (JRAs). Oversee safe use and storage of dangerous goods. Ensure safety equipment inspections and proper housekeeping. Verify personnel HSE training compliance. Maintain updated HSE boards and manage site inductions. Organize emergency training and exercises; document and log participation. Ensure ERT readiness and emergency preparedness. Administer the Incident Reporting System and lead investigations. Track and close out corrective and improvement actions. Provide regular HSE reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to H&S Operations Manager. Context & Environment: Strategic role in PNG LNG operations. Operates in a complex environment with high community, environmental, and security challenges. Based at Herd Base, PRL-15, Gulf Province. Rotational schedule: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off. Frequent visits to contractor sites within PRL-15. Accountabilities: Monitor, promote, and advise on all HSE matters across PRL15. Support the RSES in implementing safe operations and building a strong HSE culture. Required Qualifications & Experience: Experience: Minimum 5 years as an HSE Superintendent. Minimum 10 years of site-based HSE experience. Minimum 15 years in the oil and gas industry. Prior experience with TotalEnergies is an advantage. Education & Skills: Minimum 3 years of technical education. Skills:
