As the HSE & Quality Leader, you will focus on projects/process improvement to ensure that processes and products are designed with appropriate quality measurement systems. Minimize risk of poor quality and HSE. Develop operational plan for own department. Contributions to plan of the larger unit
You will be responsible for:
Quality Management
Leading the Quality function for South Africa.Looking after QMS, QA, Local Lean, CI, etc.Managing Business Process Management Systems (e.g. Quality Management Systems, Integrated Management Systems). Work to develop, implement, and monitor overall process mapping for quality improvement purposes. Standardization of processes, tools and performance management system.Developing and working with the team on certifications.Managing collaboration of process improvement are expected taking into consideration broader functional context.Communicating effectively with other functional areas required. Influencing peers to meet the objectives.Providing services to the function or directly to the business.Handling work requiring analysis and interpretation. Procedures don't cover all the exceptions. Approaches for exceptions must be developed.Health and Safety
Support the Operation Team with ensuring the full implementation and consistent execution of the Baker Hughes (EHS) programs and ensure compliance all applicable regulations.Work closely with manufacturing, facilities, and other teams to provide EHS support, mentoring, and engagement.Work across function teams to provide EHS support for site improvement, LEAN, and Risk Elimination / Mitigation projects.Coordinate the closure of all findings and observations from audits and inspections.Participate on accident investigation.Conduct internal EHS inspections (i.e., hazardous waste areas, housekeeping, emergency response equipment, etc.)Participate as a member of the site HAZMAT TeamConduct respiratory fit-testing and associated record-keeping (If applicable)Support the random Drug test Program.Provide general administrative and record-keeping support for all related regulatory records.Maintain EHS equipment and associated documentation requirements (e.g. Training records, OSHA Logs, waste manifests, etc.)Ensure data accuracy and on time tracking and submission of HSE metrics and reportsFuel your passion.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Have at least 5 years of experience in quality managementHave minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Health and Safety roles.Working knowledge of Quality tools, lean concepts, and root cause analysisA continuous improvement mindset, knowing how to influence stakeholders towards change.Have oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams.Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills.Proven analytical and organizational ability.Work in a way that works for you
