Our Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) team creates, develops and deploys air traffic management systems that are critical for safe aircraft movement. With products covering 40% of the world’s airspace, we enable the safe take-off and landing of 2 in 3 aircrafts globally.
Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land. You will play a key role in leading the effective implementation and execution of the HSE strategy across Thales Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) operations and projects in Australia and the region.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands--on HSE subject matter expertise, fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.
Collaborate with business leaders to align outcomes with the HSE strategy as a trusted advisor.
Implement the functional HSE management system requirements, end-to-end.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and community groups.
Lead reporting and investigations of hazards, incidents, and injuries, ensuring follow-ups and support for Claims and Fitness for Work activities.
Conduct HSE audits and inspections to identify and rectify non-compliance issues
Proactively identify and address workplace health, safety, and environmental risks
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Extensive experience as a senior HSE business partner, preferably in mission-critical, high-risk environments
Demonstrable deep knowledge and experience in the fields of HSE, management systems and relevant legislation
Sound understanding of Injury Management, Workers Compensation and Health Promotion
A clear communicator with excellent customer service skills and a collaborative approach to stakeholder partnership
Proven influencing skills to drive positive outcomes across all organisational levels in the wider region
Effective focus on problem-solving, with strong analytical skills and a bias for innovation
Relevant tertiary qualification in work health and safety, risk management, or related field
Ability to obtain Australian Defence Clearances
