Are you ready to take on a critical role as an HSE Lead for a high-profile construction project in Northern Germany? Join our team at Airswift and play a crucial part in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview

Support the execution of HSE management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and client standards. Actively participate in contractor mobilization and conduct thorough contractor HSE assessments throughout the project. Engage with workforce and stakeholders to identify and address safety concerns. Monitor contractor HSE performance, ensuring alignment with project safety objectives. Lead assurance activities, including risk assessment reviews, procedure reviews, and implementation of the HSE assurance plan. Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses when required. Provide HSE performance reports to the Project and Construction Management Team. Collaborate with the Permit Issuer to support permit-to-work processes as necessary. Implement HSE awareness campaigns to maintain hazard awareness among personnel.

Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an HSE role within a construction or heavy engineering environment. Proven experience with permit-to-work systems and HSE framework implementation. Experience in high-risk, heavy industry environments is desirable. Qualified in incident investigation techniques (ICAM, RCA, or similar). Certified auditor of safety and environmental management systems. Track record of HSE system implementation across complex work fronts. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification. Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (or EU equivalent). Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Fluent in German and English (spoken & written).

Education & Experience

Essential: Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, or Environmental related field. Desirable: Certified auditor of safety and environmental management systems.
