Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused HSE Intern to join our team on a 6–12 month internship. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health, safety, and environmental practices within a global manufacturing organisation.

In this role, you’ll support the implementation and administration of HSE processes, assist with facility management requirements, and help maintain consistent documentation across our Australian and New Zealand operations. You’ll be working alongside experienced HSE professionals, gaining valuable insight into safety systems, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HSE procedures, ensuring all incidents are reported and documented accurately.Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and the development of control measures.Help maintain HSE management systems, including contractor management (Rapid Global), chemical management (ChemAlert), workplace inspections, and external certifications (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).Assist with HSE audits, incident investigations, and compliance monitoring activities.Contribute to maintaining and updating training matrices, ensuring qualifications and competencies are current.Support the development of HSE documents, reports, and presentation materials.Provide administrative support for inductions, training programs, and HSE meetings.Assist with researching and analysing HSE issues, providing recommendations for improvements.

QualificationsCurrently studying or recently completed a qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Previous exposure to an industrial or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
