Job Description: HSE Engineer
Reporting: Technical Manager
TASKS – ACTIVITIES – RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform field and/or safety, heath, environment for construction site. Carry out General and Principal Inspections for equipments, especially heavy and lifting equipment, HSE method statement. Perform inspection on projects requiring expertise and knowledge in multiple HSE areas of construction inspection. Has experience and proficiency to negotiate with authorities Read and interpret code, standard, requirement about HSE. To perform assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards. To give technical guidance to other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application. Follow up on resolution of non-compliance reports, site memo, site instruction about HSE. Witness & checking for maintains equipment operation and calibration. Performs advanced fieldwork and assists with project management. Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health. Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager. Follow up on resolution of non-compliance reports (NCR’s)
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Civil construction or structure background, university degree or equivalent. 3+ years of experience working as a Field Inspector Knowledge in one of the fields (construction, mechanical, structural/civil, electrical and architectural) is preferred. Knowledge of materials testing. Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.(level 2 HSE training certification; ISO 9001, 14001, 45000...)
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
Good command in office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …) Fluent in reading, writing & speaking English is preferred Good command in office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …) Can work independently under pressure Can arrange to travel for inspection jobs Strong leadership skills – able to lead and manage a team
