Job Description

Working at our St Neots site you will be responsible for coordinating activities for Health, Safety & Environment and facilities and site maintenance. With approximately 135 employees and workshops on site you will be highly organised, with a strong work ethic, to manage the day to day requirements of the role. Excellent communication and influencing skills are also essential as you will be working with a wide range of employees and contractors and managing tight deadlines.

If you do not already hold a relevant Health and Safety qualification we will support you to obtain the NEBOSH General Certificate.

Qualifications

Essential skill/qualification

Good standard of written and spoken EnglishFull UK driving licenceExperience in Health and Safety risk managementExperience of working in facilities managementUnderstanding of the principles of UK Health and Safety law and statutory requirements.Good understanding of UK Electrical safety requirements.Good understanding of UK Fire Safety requirements.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work autonomouslyExcellent administration and organisational skillsProven ability to work to targets/deadlinesStrong influencing and negotiation skillsProven ability to find solutions to problemsProven ability to build relationships with othersGood general IT skillsMS Office skills

Desirable skill/qualification

NEBOSH General Certificate or other Health and Safety qualificationIET 18th edition wiring regulationsExperience of managing contractorsProven track record in meeting Key Performance Indicators or Service Level Agreements.Experience managing facilitiesExperience in implementing environmental initiatives.Experience managing budgets/costs

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
