This full-time contract position in Brunsbüttel, Germany, offers you the opportunity to work on-site, driving a strong safety culture while collaborating with project teams to meet regulatory requirements and promote operational excellence.
Role Overview
Support the execution of the project HSE management system to ensure expected levels of HSE performance.Build and maintain strong relationships with project representatives, clients, and contractors.Assist with contractor onboarding, including site and project induction delivery and site familiarization.Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and observations to monitor contractor HSE performance.Maintain a visible on-site presence, engaging with the workforce to identify and address safety concerns.Provide assistance in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.Support HSE awareness campaigns to promote continuous hazard awareness and safety culture.Assist in compiling and delivering HSE performance reports as required by the project team.Support administrative HSE tasks as necessary.Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safety management systems.Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems.Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate about safety culture.Well-organized with the ability to work independently and take initiative.Education & Experience
Degree in HSE or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).Membership with a recognized Occupational Health and Safety Institute.Minimum 3+ years of experience in a HSE role within a construction/heavy engineering environment.Pay & Benefits
