About the Role
As an HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You’ll work closely with field teams and leadership to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves significant travel and hands-on engagement at various field locations.
This position will be officed out of Edmonton, AB, serving as the home base for the successful candidate. However, the role involves extensive travel—up to 75%, including overnight stays—to support field operations in key areas such as Nisku, Lloydminster, Macklin, Bonnyville, and Estevan. While these locations will be the primary focus, there may also be opportunities to assist in other regions as operational needs arise. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field and enjoys building strong safety cultures across diverse teams and environments.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & System Oversight: Support the implementation and monitoring of the OEPS Management System to ensure alignment with safety and environmental protocols. Audits & Reviews: Participate in internal and external audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Safe Work Practices: Promote and verify the use of safe work procedures, risk assessments, and PPE compliance. Risk Management: Assist in developing and maintaining HSE risk assessments and risk registers. Communication & Training: Share relevant HSE information and support training efforts to build awareness and capability. Incident Management: Maintain accurate incident records, support investigations, and help identify root causes and corrective actions. Emergency Preparedness: Participate in drills and ensure emergency response plans are current and effective. Field Engagement: Conduct site inductions, inspections, and provide guidance on hazard controls and regulatory compliance.Experience, Qualifications, Skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field HSE certifications (e.g., CRSP, CSP, CHSC, CTSP) Experience in Oil & Gas or transportation safety Familiarity with 5S/Lean principles and provincial/federal transportation regulationsKey Skills:
