The HRIS Lead is responsible for strategic oversight of HR technologies and workforce data governance. This role ensures system data integrity, security administration, and optimization of HR platforms including Workday HCM, ATS, and LMS while driving workforce analytics and actionable insights aligned with organizational strategy. The position creates and maintains business processes and workflows, develops maintenance plans, conducts regular audits, monitors queries, and proposes solutions to complex issues. This role requires translating business needs into system solutions, ensuring mobile usability, and collaborating effectively across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
•\tServe as the primary administrator for Workday HCM, including modules for Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, and Talent.
•\tManage system configurations, business processes, security roles, and compliance requirements.
•\tOversee integrations between Workday and third-party systems (e.g., payroll vendors, benefits carriers, finance systems).
•\tLead governance and optimization of HR technology ecosystem, including ATS and LMS platforms.
•\tEvaluate new tools and enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
•\tEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all HR systems.
•\tManage access controls, security protocols, and audit processes to safeguard sensitive employee information.
•\tDevelop and deliver dashboards, metrics, and insights to HR leadership and business partners.
•\tSupport advanced reporting needs for compliance, compensation planning, and workforce analytics.
•\tPartner with Payroll Manager and team to ensure accurate payroll processing and GL coding.
•\tCollaborate with Finance on integrations, reconciliations, and reporting alignment.
•\tAct as a liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors for system upgrades and issue resolution.
•\tTranslate business requirements into system configurations and process improvements.
•\tEnsure mobile user experience is optimized for a workforce inclusive of computer-users and non-computer users
•\tAct as a trusted advisor to HR leadership and business partners on technology strategy and data-driven decision-making.
•\tCreate and execute system maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
•\tConduct regular audits of HR systems to validate data integrity and security.
•\tMonitor system queries and troubleshoot issues, proposing solutions to complex problems.
•\tLaunch/Enable new features as the organization readies for them.
•\tDevelop workflows and business processes that align with organizational strategy and improve efficiency.
•\tDrive workforce data analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
•\tIdentify training needs for users, leaders, updates, etc.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
•\tBachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field perferred.
•\t7–10+ years of experience in HR technology administration and strategy, with deep expertise in Workday HCM.
•\tHands-on experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, and integrations.
•\tExperience supporting a workforce that is primarily non-technology oriented (manufacturing or similar environments).
Technical Skills
•\tAdvanced knowledge of Workday configuration, security, and mobile UX optimization.
•\tFamiliarity with ATS, LMS, and other HR technology platforms.
•\tStrong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting tools.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Chester, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
