HR VP, Beckman Coulter Dx Product Portfolio and Innovation

The Vice President of Human Resources for Product Portfolio and Innovation in Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be responsible for driving the strategic HR agenda across multiple business units within our product portfolio. This role requires a dynamic leader who can align HR initiatives with business objectives, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and support the evolving transformation of the HR function. TheVP HR for Product Portfolio will be responsible for the HR function which partners with the Chief Portfolio Office, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and the functional and business unit senior leaders, site leaders and associates to deliver proactive and solution-oriented HR services which align, influence, and support the execution of the business strategy.
This position will report to the SVP Human Resources for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and will be a member of the Product Portfolio and Innovation Leadership Team as well as the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT). This position is located in Chaska, Minnesota, USA. This role will have several direct and indirect reports and lead a total team of 10 associates. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
•Develop and execute the HR strategy aligning with Danaher and Beckman Coulter Diagnostics HR priorities and Product Portfolio and Innovation strategies
•Lead HR workstreams for critical Product Portfolio and Innovation strategic business initiatives, and as a member of the Product Portfolio and Innovation Leadership teams, share accountability for the success of these critical initiatives
•Drive initiatives that enhance organizational culture and employee engagement, and foster an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork
•Lead organizational design and integration and alignment of new business units and products into the existing portfolio
•Elevate the associate value proposition (AVP) for Beckman Coulter Dx to be the employer of choice in the industry through development and sustainment of engagement and an inclusive and equitable culture globally
•Effectively lead core HR strategy and programs for Product Portfolio and Innovation, including achievement of core-value-driver and KPI targets (including turnover, internal fill rate)
•Engage with the HR Leadership Team to plan, develop, and execute on strategic, operational decision-making and projects across the global organization


•Lead talent programs to ensure we have talent ready for critical roles through advanced talent acquisition and talent management activities, including performance management, leadership development, succession, and career advancement programming
•Collaborate with senior leadership, HR peers, Center of Excellence (COE) and Shared Service partners to drive organizational design, change, and transformation initiatives
•Build and develop a high performing team and create strong succession within the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics HR team as well as net exports of HR talent across Danaher
•Ensure an effective and efficient Product Portfolio and Innovation HR team with the right culture, processes, and practices, including strong sustainment of DBS fundamentals, and the org structure, capabilities, and teamwork to advance our strategic priorities

Key Requirements
The essential requirements of the job include:
•Experience providing HR leadership for large, global client groups including demonstrated understanding of different cultures, practices, and employment requirements
•Experience working in highly regulated industry, has familiarity and knowledge with global requirements and boundaries including navigating relationships within the European Union
•In depth understanding of Research and Development and Innovation functions, leadership development, org design and transformation
•Experience leading major programs and/or steering committees and successfully led HR workstreams for very large transformational capital projects
•Demonstrated ability to design and drive strategic HR initiatives and deliver measurable business results and support business growth and innovation
•Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams
Proficiency in leveraging HR analytics for data-driven decision-making
•Deep knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to HR operations
•Advanced communication and change management planning and execution skills
•Experience leading large HR teams and individuals with strong track record of developing and advancing talent
•Proven track record of successful senior leader coaching and mentoring

•Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years' experience OR Masters/Doctoral degree with 18+ years' experience, and related experience includes 6+ years managing people

•Ability to travel up to 25%
