HR Specialist
Description Our client is in need of a dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will provide advanced administrative and technical support to the Field Human Resources Director, contributing to key HR functions such as training coordination, employee relations, compliance oversight, and recruitment initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who is eager to make an impact in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Support the Field HR Director in maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures. • Coordinate and oversee field HR training sessions, including scheduling and logistics. • Conduct reviews and updates of the HR Manual and related documentation. • Assist with employee retention initiatives, including managing climate surveys and exit surveys. • Prepare and review quarterly HR reports, ensuring the accuracy of HR system updates and compliance. • Address employee concerns effectively and escalate issues when necessary to maintain workplace harmony. • Investigate HR policy violations, conduct witness interviews, draft reports, and recommend appropriate actions. • Provide employees with guidance on company policies such as time-off benefits and tuition reimbursement programs. • Handle inquiries related to HR systems, including updates and changes, and report unresolved issues to the Field HR Director. • Attend hearings as the HR representative and support the Employee Assistance Program as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian. • Familiarity with compliance and auditing processes. • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve employee concerns tactfully and effectively. • Experience working with CRM platforms and ATS systems. • Knowledge of benefits administration and HR policy management. • Ability to analyze and prepare detailed HR reports. • Previous experience in field HR training coordination and staff development. • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with discretion.
