HR Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated HR People Services Specialist to join our team in New York, New York, on a Contract to permanent role. This position is ideal for professionals with a passion for delivering exceptional service, improving processes, and supporting employees in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in managing HR operations while collaborating with global teams and enhancing the overall employee experience. Responsibilities: • Provide first-level support to employees and managers by addressing a diverse range of HR inquiries and resolving issues through a ticketing system. • Manage key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts, benefits administration, and leave management. • Perform accurate and timely HR transactions in systems like Workday, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting. • Enhance and maintain HR documentation, such as knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures. • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and People Business Partners, to streamline cross-functional processes. • Monitor recurring issues, provide actionable feedback for operational improvements, and elevate the employee experience. • Prioritize tasks to meet critical timelines, such as payroll deadlines and onboarding schedules. • Support global teams by working flexible hours and resolving moderately complex inquiries while escalating more advanced issues. • Deliver outstanding customer service through effective communication and a consistent approach. • Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to day-to-day operations within the HR department. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR shared services, HR operations, or a generalist role in a fast-paced environment. • Strong knowledge of HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employment contracts. • Proven experience working with global teams and supporting employees across multiple regions and time zones. • Flexibility to work varied hours to accommodate stakeholders in different time zones. • Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday and ticketing tools like FreshService or similar platforms. • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills. • Ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced, and ambiguous work environments. • Commitment to continuous improvement and growth.
