About the Team:
Global organizations increasingly rely on many sources of talent beyond their traditional, full-time employees – this is known as the external workforce. External workers are a vital part of SAP’s business. SAP recognises that a well-managed, dynamic, and flexible external workforce can strengthen our competitive edge.
The External Workforce Center (EWFC) partners with the business to engage a compliant external workforce that delivers on the business needs, working with stakeholders across more than 70 countries and in all areas of the SAP business. The focus in all we do is to make the complex easy.
In addition to this EWFC is driving the transformation journey for External Workforce at SAP – with a focus on the future of work, total workforce management and total spend management.
About the Role:
In this role you will manage an international team that delivers HR services within SAP related to External Workforce topics. The team serves as a first point of contact for external workforce topics, responding to queries through phone calls, online tickets and emails from managers, third party vendors and SAP colleagues.
The team works with managers and colleagues to understand their business challenges and objectives, consulting on external workforce topics to ensure compliance and successful business outcomes. As the manager you must be able to both role model this consultative approach and empower the team to develop the skills to provide effective consultation to the business.
Core to the role is the coordination and supervision of the activities of the team, setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion in alignment with SLA’s & KPI’s; coordinating work activities with other supervisors within the EWFC.
With a focus on service excellence you will mentor, coach, and coordinate of day-to-day activities of the team. You will always be looking for appropriate simplification, standardization, process optimization and continuous innovation; to achieve this you to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders outside of the People & Culture organisation.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the SAP People Agenda, which covers also the Technical Roadmap and role modelling our Growth culture.
You will have the opportunity to be involved transformation projects connected to external workforce topics and support the change management essential for the success of these global transformation initiatives.
This role involves the handling of confidential data and using HR systems and tools.
Day to Day Tasks:
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Navigate a complex landscape of technical, process, and data challenges while adhering to stringent legal and internal standards. Ensure Operational Excellence: Plan and monitor resource needs to ensure stable operations, manage onboarding processes, and distribute workloads effectively to meet business objectives. Foster Team Growth: Regularly evaluate and discuss team members' performance, providing meaningful feedback to help them develop their full potential and talents. Strategic Visioning: Build and continuously evolve a holistic vision and strategy to achieve organizational and transformational goals Manage the overall scope of EWF processes, tools, and projects. Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain a strong professional network and partnerships with all stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment. Positive Brand Building: Enhance the reputation and brand of our P&C External Workforce center both internally and externally.
Previous experience of working with the external workforce is not essential, you just need to have:
Strong business and people leadership skills to guide change. Relevant working experience in people management in an international environment.
