Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing core HR functions and guiding a team to deliver efficient, high‑quality support across the organization. This role involves managing daily HR operations, maintaining policies and procedures, and collaborating with leadership to support broader departmental objectives.
Job Duties
Lead the daily activities of the HR team, providing hands-on supervision, direction, and support.Develop, implement, and uphold HR policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.Partner with HR leadership to drive departmental initiatives, long‑term planning, and strategic HR goals.Act as a primary resource for employees and managers on employee relations issues and workplace concerns.Support conflict resolution efforts, performance improvement plans, and internal investigations.Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to deliver a positive and well-organized experience for new hires.Manage offboarding and termination processes, ensuring a smooth and professional transition.Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Oversee employee benefits administration, including annual open enrollment processes.Advise managers on workforce planning, compensation considerations, job evaluations, and salary changes.Support managers with performance management activities, coaching, documentation, and review cycles.Assist with the development and upkeep of tools and processes for career growth, professional development, and succession planning.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or HR operations role preferred.Professional certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent credential preferred.Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
