Job Description

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week.

This is a hybrid working role, with regular travel required across our PSS Ireland sites.

As a HR Manager, you will manage the Human Resources function and activities across the PSS business in Ireland and support off-site Professional Scientific Services (PSS) teams and their leaders based at multiple client sites (throughout Ireland). You will be the key point of contact from an HR management point of view as per business requirements.

Main Duties

Responsible for the day to day management of the HR team.Manage and oversee our HR systems and lead / support on any new functionality or system developmentEnsure that employee life cycle service routines are managed well and in the most efficient way possible, and ensure regular quality checks are in place on key workflowsWork closely with PSS Managers to improve HR process efficiency, taking into account feedback from employees and key stakeholdersOwn and oversee the HR inbox to ensure that all queries and requests are dealt with in a timely manner or appropriately escalatedProvide guidance and support to management and employees on employee relations matters.Attend grievance, investigation and disciplinary hearings advising all parties in line with current legislation and policy.Support the team with payroll queries and issue resolution as neededCreate and provide reports for senior managers, to develop the reporting functionality of the local HR systems.Coordinate and run HR training for Managers and Employees and create bespoke training as needed, alongside associated manuals / guidesAssist in developing and delivering training programmes in HR areas.Responsible for ensuring that offer letters, contracts, and company handbook are up to date and relevant to Irish legislation and employment law at all times.Own the HR policies and key documents relevant to your area updating as necessary, and consider any future policy development neededMonitor employment legislation development, assess the impact and develop processes, policies and communication as needed to maintain complianceImplement a step change in improving internal communication to employees and key stakeholders through centrally coordinated activities planned and coordinated within your team. Lead on developing our reward and benchmarking programmesParticipate in or lead various projects, including pay & progression, market reviews, performance reviews, talent management, mentoring and development.Oversee the annual pay review process for your sites, with HR shared service team supportGenerate management reports that provide insight to management in relation to their teamsActively participate in team and company meetingsManage accurate and fast turnaround of KEL (key employee / key leader) offers for senior level recruitment and lead annual management of KEL group process for IrelandWork with MD and PSS Managers on employee engagement annual plan.Ensure compliance with right to work checks through well maintained trackers and provide support and guidance of appropriate immigration advice and legislation. Responsible for maintaining HR data quality and ensuring compliance with GDPRSupport HR Recruiters as necessary.

QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent within Human ResourcesExtensive proven experience within a Human Resources Management role, preferably within a multi-national environment.Proven experience leading HR teams across multiple countries or business units.Ability to quickly learn new processes.Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues.Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.Computer literate.Strong understanding of Irish Employment Law and LegislationStrong understanding of Irish Right to Work, specifically visas and immigration.
