HR Intern (Part Time)

Job Summary:

Trane Technologies part-time student employment provides current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our opportunity is intended for candidates working towards their Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial-organizational Psychology, or a business-related discipline.

Students interested in Part-time Student Employment with Trane Technologies must be able to work during the school year (no more than 20 hours weekly).

The HR Intern provides general human resources assistance to managers to coordinate, administer, implement, and monitor a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR disciplines. This is a remote role supporting multiple locations. 

Responsibilities:

·         Support the recruitment process for nonexempt hourly roles.

·         Coordinate onboarding activities of new employees.

·         Interact with staffing agencies to place temporary associates.

·         Create content for employee training and development projects.

·         Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize the effectiveness of our HR processes.

·         Interact with employees and managers to support engagement initiatives.

·         Curate communication materials for employee start-up meetings.

·         Assist with monthly metric tracking and reporting, ensuring accuracy and ease of use.

·         Assist with administrative processes such as weekly payroll & attendance activities and managing employee records. 

·         Other duties as needed.

 Qualifications:

·         High school diploma

·         Pursuing degree in Human Resources, Industrial-organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or similar degree path

·         Strong proficiency in Microsoft office applications.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and applications as needed.

·         Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

·         Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

·         Able to shift priorities frequently and easily to meet business needs.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         High level of trust and ability to work with confidential data.

·         Ability to work under minimal supervision.
