Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate need for an HR Generalist with strong Employee Relations and LOA experience.
Contract | Hybrid| Pay range for this position is $45-$50/Hr. per based on skills, education, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
Summary: We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist with strong expertise in employee relations and leave of absence administration to join our team. This role serves as a trusted HR partner, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution. Administer and oversee leave of absence programs (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and company policies) ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide coaching and support to managers on employee engagement, performance, and policy interpretation. Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives, policies, and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports to support compliance and decision-making. Contribute to HR projects in areas such as compliance, training, benefits, and talent management as needed. Qualifications: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and leave of absence management. In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, etc.). Proven ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
