HR & Admin Manager Location: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) Compensation: $70,000–$80,000+ (flexible based on experience) + bonus eligibility Employment Type: Full‑time Client: Aston Carter Partner Company Overview Aston Carter is supporting a fun, growing organization with a collaborative, people‑first culture in hiring their first HR & Admin Manager. This is a newly created role and a rare opportunity to join a company early in its growth and build HR processes from the ground up. You will serve as the primary HR resource for employees, partner directly with C-level leadership, and help shape the company’s people strategy, policies, and culture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is excited to create structure where it doesn’t yet exist. You’ll support HR operations, benefits administration, employee relations, and general administrative functions while helping establish scalable, compliant, and employee‑focused processes. Key Responsibilities + Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, performance processes, compensation support, promotions, and offboarding + Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, documentation, and required HR reporting + Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, leave administration) and serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions + Support recruiting efforts: draft job descriptions, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and partner with hiring leaders + Act as a trusted, neutral resource for employees across both in‑office and remote teams + Address employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment + Advise leadership on HR best practices, people processes, compensation considerations, and organizational structure + Maintain and update company policies and the employee handbook; ensure compliance with employment laws + Ensure consistent application of policies while reinforcing company values + Support general administrative and office operations, including vendor coordination, document management, and operational support + Serve as the first point of contact for HR and administrative questions, providing timely and professional guidance Required Skills & Experience + 5+ years of experience in human resources, people operations, or a related field + Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline + Strong knowledge of core HR functions: benefits administration, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and payroll coordination + Hands‑on experience with HR, payroll, or benefits administration systems (Paylocity experience preferred) + Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle + Strong employee relations with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly + Ability to work independently and create structure in a growing organization + High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion + Excellent communication skills and ability to support a distributed workforce Preferred Qualifications + Experience working in a small or rapidly growing organization + Comfort wearing multiple hats across HR and administrative functions + Experience supporting leaders on performance, compensation, and organizational topics + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, engaging culture Work Environment + This role follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and emphasizes flexibility, trust, and teamwork. You will work closely with senior leadership and external vendors while supporting both in‑office and remote employees.
