Compensation: $70,000–$80,000+ (flexible based on experience) + bonus eligibility

Overview

Aston Carter is supporting a fun, growing organization with a collaborative, people‑first culture in hiring their first HR & Admin Manager. This is a newly created role and a rare opportunity to join a company early in its growth and build HR processes from the ground up. You will serve as the primary HR resource for employees, partner directly with C-level leadership, and help shape the company’s people strategy, policies, and culture.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is excited to create structure where it doesn’t yet exist. You’ll support HR operations, benefits administration, employee relations, and general administrative functions while helping establish scalable, compliant, and employee‑focused processes.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, performance processes, compensation support, promotions, and offboardingMaintain accurate and compliant employee records, documentation, and required HR reportingAdminister employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, leave administration) and serve as the primary point of contact for employee questionsSupport recruiting efforts: draft job descriptions, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and partner with hiring leadersAct as a trusted, neutral resource for employees across both in‑office and remote teamsAddress employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgmentAdvise leadership on HR best practices, people processes, compensation considerations, and organizational structureMaintain and update company policies and the employee handbook; ensure compliance with employment lawsEnsure consistent application of policies while reinforcing company valuesSupport general administrative and office operations, including vendor coordination, document management, and operational supportServe as the first point of contact for HR and administrative questions, providing timely and professional guidanceRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in human resources, people operations, or a related fieldBachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of core HR functions: benefits administration, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and payroll coordinationHands‑on experience with HR, payroll, or benefits administration systems (Paylocity experience preferred)Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycleStrong employee relations with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetlyAbility to work independently and create structure in a growing organizationHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and discretionExcellent communication skills and ability to support a distributed workforcePreferred QualificationsExperience working in a small or rapidly growing organizationComfort wearing multiple hats across HR and administrative functionsExperience supporting leaders on performance, compensation, and organizational topicsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to contribute positively to a collaborative, engaging cultureWork EnvironmentThis role follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and emphasizes flexibility, trust, and teamwork. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
