About this RolePosition Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This role ensures alignment with company policies and adherence to Texas and federal employment laws while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issuesSupport conflict resolution and conduct investigations when necessaryPromote a positive work environment and employee engagement initiatives2. Compliance & Policy Administration
Ensure compliance with federal, state (Texas), and local employment lawsDavis-Bacon compliance, prevailing wage complianceMaintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and proceduresAssist with audits and reporting requirements3. Benefits & Compensation
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries4. Performance Management
Coordinate performance review processesProvide guidance to managers on employee development and disciplinary actionsTrack and support training and development initiatives4. HR Administration
Maintain employee records and uploadsPrepare HR reports and metrics (turnover, retention, etc.)Assist with special HR projects as neededRecruitment & Onboarding
Provide back-up support for recruiting and onboarding as needed.Work Environment

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field2–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of Texas labor laws and federal employment regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, Davis-Bacon)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Certifications
