HR Generalist
Job Title: HR GeneralistJob Description The HR Generalist I supports the overall HR department in areas such as HRIS management, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, and occupational health and safety. We seek a self-starter who can balance conflicting points of view, demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness, and must be customer service-oriented. Responsibilities + Serve as a highly visible, spirited ambassador of the company and its core values to employees. + Develop and manage employee training programs, including onboarding and continuous education. + Support the Annual Review process with managers, focusing on annual merit increases. + Manage and support the 401k/Roth plans. + Oversee the recognition and morale program. + Handle Verification of Employment requests. + Coordinate shuttle and transportation programs. + Provide benefits support. + Coordinate recruitment processes. + Conduct onboarding and exit interviews. + Manage all facets of required HR reporting. + Update internal job postings. + Ensure compliance and safety within the organization. + Provide back-up support for entering and maintaining new employees and all changes in the HRIS platform. + Perform filing, scanning, auditing, and data entry tasks. + Support company events. + Offer unbiased support to management and employees, maintaining confidentiality. + Manage expense reporting. + Perform other tasks and projects as needed and assigned. Essential Skills + 2-4 years of HR coordinator or HR administrative experience; HR generalist experience is a plus. + 2-year college degree is preferred. + 2-4 years of experience with Paycom or similar HRIS software is required. + Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including at least intermediate Excel experience. + Bilingual in Spanish is preferred for supporting other departments in translation and proofreading. + Strong English verbal and written communication skills. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete tasks. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in HR support, onboarding, administrative support, HR administration, HR systems, compliance, and benefits administration. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, onsite. Flexibility in hours is required within reason, with additional time as needed. The HR team is located in an old Rite Aid building, a mile from the manufacturing site, due to a previous building fire in 2022. This is a 6-9 month contract-to-hire position. The company offers a family-like environment with activities such as BBQs, monthly lunches, and holiday gifts. Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected, with no more than 40 unexcused hours per calendar year. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newberg, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
