Job Description
Insight Global is supporting a client located in Pleasanton, CA to identify an HR Generalist to join their team. This role is going to be supporting a wide range of HR functions and will be foundational in this smaller-sized company. They will be responsible for the following:
1. Employee Relations - Acting as the main point of contact for any employee concerns and handling conflict resolution to promote a positive workplace
2. Compliance and Policy Management - Ensuring HR practices comply with California labor laws and regulations. Updating and enforcing company policies and procedures. Keeping handbook updated. Work with in-house counsel when required.
3. HR Administration - Maintaining employee records. Proper documentation of performance management.
4. Recruitment and Onboarding - Managing new hire orientation process. Recruiting and talent acquisition as needed.
5. Benefits and Compensation - Administering employee benefits, including open enrollment support. Payroll support as needed.
While this is a general overview of responsibilities, there may be other ad-hoc duties required. The client utilizes BambooHR as the HR Software.
The HR Generalist will be working in a W2 contract-to-hire model with access to full medical, dental and vision benefits along with weekly payroll.
This is an onsite position offering between 30-35 hours per week, but that could increase with time.

Skills and Requirements
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in HR
- SHRM certification
- Proven background within employee relations, benefits and compensation, performance management, policy management, and
- Knowledge of CA-specific labor laws along with general employment laws
- Proficiency in MS Suite, including Excel - Experience with BambooHR software
- Experience supporting a healthcare-adjacent environment
