Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager or HR Generalist to join our team in Alto, Michigan, on a long-term contract basis. This position requires a highly skilled individual with a background in manufacturing and the ability to handle HR responsibilities at an advanced level. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing benefits and open enrollment, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and payroll-related inquiries while supporting a growing HR team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and policy interpretation, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive workplace environment.
• Conduct interviews and support recruiting efforts for various roles, including shop floor positions.
• Utilize HR systems such as Workday and SuccessFactors to streamline external recruiting and data management processes.
• Handle payroll inquiries, including pay increases and attendance tracking, while providing team members with accurate information.
• Generate and review payroll reports, print checks, and monitor attendance records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with supervisors to follow up on corrective actions and attendance-related concerns.
• Support benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees regarding available resources.
• Assist with HR leadership duties, allowing the HR supervisor to focus on managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrate adaptability and resilience while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Ensure timely completion of training programs and maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate shift changes.
Requirements • Proven experience in HR roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, and Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and the ability to address related inquiries.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and employee support systems.
• Ability to track and manage attendance and corrective actions effectively.
• Solid interpersonal skills to handle sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism.
• Capability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
