HR Generalist
Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Description

The HR Generalist will provide professional HR guidance and support to corporate business units. This role involves managing recruitment, training and development, performance management, organization planning, and company social programs. Responsibilities include administering HR programs such as payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, leave administration, and employee relations. The HR Generalist ensures timely project completion, effective resource management, and acts as a liaison with departments to understand objectives and implement HR solutions.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the HR Business Partner to deliver training programs, including corporate certifications, skills development, and compliance requirements.Investigate and manage employee concerns, identify trends, and provide recommendations to resolve issues.Support cyclical HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation, benefits enrollment, and short-term incentive plan administration.Administer and implement assigned HR programs, including learning and development, onboarding, social programs, and engagement initiatives.Enforce policies by ensuring standards are met and consistently applied; provide counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees.Support organizational planning based on business needs.Process and review human resources information for new hires, terminations, position and wage changes.Collaborate with management to build leadership capabilities and deliver coaching and disciplinary action.Support termination processes, attend termination meetings, and complete exit interviews.Develop and maintain HR files in compliance with state, federal, and corporate requirements.Prepare and maintain program policies, manuals, and procedures, recommending improvements as necessary.Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, advising management on necessary actions.Provide employee relations support and conduct investigations, ensuring consistency and fairness without discrimination.Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and talent management.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.3+ years’ experience in Human Resources management, including onboarding, payroll, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Business Administration preferred.PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm.Organized problem solver with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment

Work environment includes a Monday to Thursday in-office schedule, with remote work on Fridays. The work hours are from 8am to 5pm. The role offers exposure to working directly with the Chief Human Resources Officer, providing a tactical experience across all aspects of being an HR Generalist, excluding recruiting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fenton, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.25 - $40.00/hr.
