We’re looking for an HR Generalist to join our team! This role will partner closely with managers and a non-exempt employee population in North America. This role is hybrid, however, is mostly remote. Some onsite meetings may be required in Bloomington, MN.
Key Responsibilities
Manager Guidance: Advise managers on a variety of topics including: talent management, retention, talent acquisition, and other employee-related matters to ensure processes are consistent and in line with company policy. Provide metrics and other key management information as required and assist in the activities to address desired outcomes.
Engagement: Support Pearson’s engagement efforts and help ensure a positive work environment to attract and retain employees.
Employee Relations: Point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment.
Compliance and Policy Management: Support and implement company policies and procedures. Ensure that the organization complies with labor laws and regulations, including minimum wage adjustments, and help develop and enforce company policies.
HR Administration: Maintain employee records, handle HR documentation, and manage HR-related inquiries and requests. Promote and pursue best practice and adherence to Pearson goals, objectives, engagement and culture of belonging in all aspects of work
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent work experience 2 - 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist or HRBP role preferred 1+ years managing high volume employee relations preferred Excellent time management, prioritization skills and sense of urgency Ability to work independently when required, and escalate appropriately Strong work ethic, collaboration and team working skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in the English language Experience working with confidential data and data retention Strong technical capability, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite including Copilot. Experience with HRIS system including reporting preferred.Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $70,000 - $80,000.
