Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Wood Dale, Illinois. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic hospitality company by supporting various human resources functions and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Responsibilities:
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screenings, interview coordination, and offer facilitation.
• Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for new hires.
• Maintain and update employee records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in data management.
• Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, leave tracking, and retirement plans.
• Support managers in performance management activities, including goal setting, evaluations, and addressing employee concerns.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive engagement, retention, and focused development initiatives.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws at federal, state, and local levels, and provide recommendations for best practices.
• Manage employee relations with professionalism and discretion, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
• Assist in organizing employee recognition events, diversity and inclusion programs, and wellness initiatives. Requirements • Proven experience in HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements, including FMLA and other employment laws.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with employees and leadership effectively.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Experience in performance management and fostering employee development.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ATS systems and HR software tools. TalentMatch®
