HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist with a solid background in human resources practices to join our team in Hauppauge, New York. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations within a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in onboarding, benefits administration, and HR systems while excelling in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring a seamless experience. • Process financial statements, manage check requests, and handle escrow correspondence with accuracy. • Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and taking detailed meeting notes. • Manage employee offboarding processes, ensuring compliance and proper documentation. • Facilitate all aspects of employee onboarding, including orientation and system setup. • Collaborate with a third-party provider to address unemployment claims and related matters. • Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and HR-related tasks. • Support employee relations efforts by addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace environment. • Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate HRIS records. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role. • Strong knowledge of employee relations and human resources administration. • Proficiency in onboarding processes and benefit functions. • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and tools. • Advanced skills in Excel, including data management and reporting. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. • Familiarity with handling unemployment claims and related processes.
