HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and human resources functions at our Louisville, Kentucky location. This role is integral in maintaining the company's values and fostering employee engagement while delivering exceptional service and communication. Responsibilities: • Process bi-weekly payroll for over 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations. • Update payroll data, including salary changes, benefit adjustments, and tax withholdings, using HRIS systems. • Prepare termination pay details and ensure compliance with final pay regulations. • Maintain payroll folders and documentation, ensuring proper storage and accessibility. • Provide detailed payroll reports to the accounting department on a bi-weekly and monthly basis. • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans. • Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, including plan setup, monitoring, and reporting to carriers. • Address employee inquiries regarding benefits claims, enrollment processes, and plan provisions. • Manage leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork in compliance with state-specific laws. • Collaborate with benefits carriers to ensure timely processing of employee leave requests and communications. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing and benefits administration. • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll software. • Familiarity with state and federal payroll regulations. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication abilities for employee interactions and issue resolution. • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism. • Knowledge of leave-of-absence policies and disability claims. • Experience in employee relations and human resources administration.
