HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Southlake, Texas, and offers a unique opportunity to support a dynamic organization in the retail industry. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, enhancing employee relations, and managing benefits administration effectively. Responsibilities: • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between employees, payroll, benefit providers, and government agencies to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance. • Oversee the processing of workers' compensation claims and ensure adherence to state-mandated time-off requirements, including leave of absence policies. • Provide employees with guidance on benefits-related inquiries, ensuring they fully understand and utilize their available options. • Identify and implement new employee benefits and perks to enhance overall satisfaction and engagement. • Offer expert advice to management on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution to maintain a positive workplace atmosphere. • Address workplace issues promptly, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment while applying new incentives and benefits. • Promote and execute HR programs aimed at creating a productive and conflict-free workplace. • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and applicable labor laws. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR initiatives and organizational goals. Requirements • 3-5 years of experience demonstrating attention to detail in human resources or a related field. • Recent graduates with a strong willingness to learn and a proactive mindset are encouraged to apply. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and provide effective employee coaching. • Proficiency in HR information systems, including platforms like Workday, ADP Workforce Now, or Ceridian Dayforce. • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including FMLA and workers' compensation. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with benefits administration and employee relations processes.
