HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist for our client located in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this short-term contract to full time position, you will play a vital role in driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting organizational growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about fostering strong relationships while delivering HR solutions. Responsibilities: • Ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies to maintain compliance. • Address day-to-day employee relations by providing solutions, counseling, and coaching. • Collaborate with managers to support team development and drive performance improvement. • Partner with leadership to implement organizational planning and conduct performance evaluations. • Facilitate employee onboarding, training programs, engagement initiatives, and succession planning. • Conduct exit interviews for employees resigning voluntarily to gather insights. • Stay updated on HR-related regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. • Build trusted relationships with business partners to execute HR strategies and programs effectively. • Translate business needs into talent management solutions by developing a strong understanding of organizational goals. • Support investigations into employee relations matters while ensuring legal adherence. Requirements • Proficiency in HR compliance, including knowledge of federal and state employment laws. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management. • Experience handling employee relations, including conflict resolution and coaching. • Familiarity with benefits administration and FMLA processes. • Skilled in full cycle recruiting and conducting orientations for new team members. • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems and other human resources tools. • Ability to develop and deliver training programs tailored to organizational needs. • Strategic mindset with the ability to assess talent gaps and provide actionable solutions.
