HR Generalist
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in south of Jackson, Tennessee. This role is pivotal in creating a supportive workplace environment and ensuring the seamless execution of HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a strong commitment to compliance with employment laws and regulations. Responsibilities: • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where employees feel comfortable addressing concerns with HR and management. • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll, including updates for pay rates, taxes, deductions, and other changes. • Maintain and update employee data systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping and the generation of necessary reports. • Prepare employee earnings statements and handle verification of employment requests as needed. • Assist in the calculation and processing of bonuses and other salary-based compensation during monthly, quarterly, or annual periods. • Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally to maintain employee trust and satisfaction. • Administer employee benefit programs, including processing enrollments, managing invoices, and effectively communicating benefits information. • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws by maintaining accurate employee records and reports throughout the employee lifecycle. • Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage benefits programs and provide necessary information. • Process internal leave of absence requests in alignment with company policies and respond to unemployment claims filed by former employees. Requirements • Proficiency with payroll and HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, or Paylocity. • Strong knowledge of employee benefit functions and compliance with employment laws, including FMLA. • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. • Experience in fostering employee relations and addressing workplace concerns. • Familiarity with maintaining employee records and generating reports. • Ability to resolve payroll discrepancies accurately and efficiently. • Experience administering benefits programs, including enrollment processes and vendor coordination. • Strong analytical skills to assist with compensation calculations and ensure compliance with regulations.
