Description
We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist bilingual Spanish with experience in the hotel industry to join our team in Torrance, California. This direct hire position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of employees while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401K, vacation policies, and other compensation packages.
• Facilitate comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for new team members to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
• Monitor and enforce HR-related federal and state regulations, conducting investigations and maintaining accurate records.
• Provide guidance to managers on policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and workplace conduct, recommending actionable improvements.
• Process payroll efficiently while maintaining accurate employee data and personnel files.
• Support department managers in creating HR strategies that reflect the company’s mission and values.
• Address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment through conflict resolution and counseling.
• Build and sustain relationships with external vendors to optimize HR operations.
• Handle sensitive and confidential matters with utmost professionalism and discretion.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on employee relations and compliance.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration and familiarity with FMLA regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and ability to manage confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in HR operations.
