Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Onboarding
+ Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
+ Oversee the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a seamless and positive start, including conducting orientations and coordinating initial training.
2. Employee Relations and Engagement
+ Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns and guiding on HR policies and procedures.
+ Assist in resolving employee relations issues with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality.
+ Organize employee engagement initiatives to foster morale, collaboration, and retention.
3. HR Operations and Administration
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
+ Process employment changes, such as promotions, terminations, and status updates, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
+ Generate HR-related reports and analytics to aid decision-making.
4. Benefits Administration
+ Provide support during benefits enrollment and assist employees with questions regarding healthcare, retirement, and other perks.
+ Manage leave-of-absence processes, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other requests.
5. Policy Management and Compliance
+ Assist in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
+ Conduct compliance audits and mandatory training on topics such as anti-harassment, diversity, and inclusion.
6. Learning and Development
+ Collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training or reskilling programs.
+ Support mentoring programs to help employees grow their professional capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
+ Experience: 2-4 years of previous experience in a generalist or similar HR role.
+ HR Systems Knowledge: Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or other human resources systems.
+ Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
+ Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR analytics.
+ Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
