HR Generalist
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract position that offers flexible part-time hours, with the possibility of transitioning to a long-term role. The ideal candidate will support key human resources functions, including benefits management, compliance, and employee relations. Responsibilities: • Manage and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with current regulations and company policies. • Coordinate and oversee benefits enrollment and administration, ensuring employees have access to accurate information. • Facilitate onboarding processes to welcome and integrate new hires effectively into the organization. • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment. • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, including FMLA and other HR regulations. • Utilize HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce to maintain employee records and streamline processes. • Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns. • Monitor and address compliance-related matters, maintaining adherence to legal and organizational requirements. • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives to enhance overall employee satisfaction. • Collaborate with management to address workforce planning needs and provide strategic HR advice. Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the construction or contractor industry. • Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce. • Strong knowledge of benefits coordination and administration processes. • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA. • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management. • Ability to maintain and update employee handbooks and ensure compliance. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple HR functions efficiently. • Previous experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
