HR Generalist

Description We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Wood Dale, Illinois. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting our growing workforce within the hospitality industry. Your efforts will help create an inclusive workplace, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with all HR policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening applicants, arranging interviews, and facilitating offer letters.
• Conduct onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new employees have a positive and seamless start.
• Manage and maintain confidential employee records in HR systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, leave tracking, and retirement plans.
• Support performance management activities including setting goals, providing feedback, and handling disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to promote employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
• Develop and coordinate training initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, and recommend HR best practices.
• Drive initiatives related to employee recognition, diversity and inclusion, and workplace wellness.
• Address employee relations concerns with professionalism and confidentiality, fostering a positive work environment. Requirements • Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.
• Strong experience with benefits administration and leave tracking, including FMLA.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with employees and management.
• Solid understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations with empathy and discretion.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment processes.
• Experience in fostering workplace culture through engagement and inclusion initiatives.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. TalentMatch®
