HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. This Contract to permanent position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage a wide range of HR responsibilities, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and compliance. Responsibilities: • Develop and align HR strategies with organizational goals to support business objectives. • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding. • Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies. • Address employee concerns and conflicts with professionalism while maintaining confidentiality. • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs and wellness activities. • Ensure compliance with training and certification requirements by maintaining accurate records and scheduling programs. • Create and distribute a monthly employee newsletter featuring updates, reminders, and company highlights. • Monitor and analyze HR metrics like turnover, performance, and training to support data-driven decision-making. • Conduct offboarding processes, including exit interviews, final pay, and system deactivations. • Maintain HR documentation and employee records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Requirements • Proven experience with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce. • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration, including open enrollment processes. • Familiarity with employee relations practices and compliance with labor laws. • Demonstrated ability to handle recruitment and onboarding processes effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on confidentiality. • Experience managing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leave policies. • Proficiency in tracking and reporting HR metrics to inform leadership strategies. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
