HR Generalist
Description We are looking for a skilled and driven HR Generalist to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This is a long-term contract position in the retail industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. The role is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering positive workplace environments and ensuring organizational compliance with HR policies. Responsibilities: • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving payroll, benefits, and government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations. • Manage workers’ compensation claims and oversee compliance with state-mandated leave policies. • Provide guidance to employees on benefit-related inquiries, helping them maximize their available resources. • Identify and implement new benefits and programs that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. • Offer expert advice to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution. • Address workplace challenges promptly to boost job satisfaction and maintain a positive organizational culture. • Promote HR initiatives designed to create a productive and harmonious work environment. • Ensure accuracy and up-to-date records within HR information systems, including Workday. • Support compliance with FMLA requirements and other regulatory obligations. • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that align HR practices with organizational goals. Requirements • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR-related role; recent graduates with the right mindset are encouraged to apply. • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships and coaching employees. • Proficiency in HR systems, including Workday, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian Dayforce. • Familiarity with compliance regulations, including FMLA and other state-mandated policies. • Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations and resolve workplace conflicts effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees at all levels. • Knowledge of benefits administration and the ability to identify innovative perks for employees. • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple HR functions efficiently.
