HR Coordinator (Benefits & Engagement)

The #HamFam is seeking to add an HR Coordinator to the team with a primary focus on providing administrative support with our company benefit programs and other key HR functions. In this role, the ideal candidate will assist with: tracking leaves of absence and record keeping, direct and self-bill invoice processing, assisting with open enrollment, administering ACA enrollments, and auditing of benefits information in HRIS systems. This person will also assist with the administration of employee engagement activities while providing excellent customer service to our team members seeking benefit-related support.
Other essential functions in this role include:
+ Assisting the Benefits Manager with all benefit related activities; serves as benefit back-up support.
+ Assisting with open enrollment activities, communications and support.
+ Administering ACA data in the HRIS system.
+ Helping administer and track FMLA, Leaves of Absence, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability.
+ Maintaining employment files to ensure compliance and record retention.
+ Ensuring confidentiality of all HR information, including HIPAA compliance information.
+ Helping administer company wellness initiatives.
+ Assisting with benefit program audits.
+ Performing customer service functions by answering associate requests and questions.
+ Pulling monthly birthday/anniversary reports.
+ Maintaining company organizational charts.
+ Assisting with and helps coordinate all onsite HR sponsored engagement activities.
+ Maintaining the benefits section of the company intranet site to ensure all materials are current.
+ Serving as the primary back-up to the front desk receptionist to cover PTO.
+ Other duties as assigned by the Benefits Manager or Sr. Director of HR.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
+ While an entry level HR position, at least 2 years related work experience/industry knowledge, preferably in an HR department. Benefits administration experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with people at various levels in the organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
+ An associate or bachelors degree in an HR related field preferred.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
+ Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and highly detail oriented.
+ General knowledge of business and office management procedures.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
Minimal hazards. General office working conditions. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
Occasional overtime work required throughout the year.
