HR Coordinator
Air Swift
Airswift is looking for a HR Coordinator to work on a permanent contract in Guyana with a large company specializing in engineering, procurement and construction solutions.
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This role facilitates recruitment activities, maintains employee records, coordinates onboarding and training, ensures compliance with company policies and labor laws, and supports the day-to-day HR operations. The HR Coordinator serves as a liaison between employees and management to promote a productive and compliant work environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and post job advertisements on internal and external platforms.
Coordinate candidate sourcing, screening, and shortlisting.
Schedule and support interviews, including preparing interview packs.
Issue offer letters, contracts, and employment documentation.
Coordinate pre-employment checks (references, police clearance, medicals, work permits if applicable)
Prepare onboarding documentation and employee starter packages.
Conduct HR orientation for new hires (policies, benefits, reporting, systems).
Ensure employees are properly set up in HRIS, payroll, and time & attendance systems.
Coordinate company access cards, uniforms, PPE, and IT account creation.
Maintain accurate, confidential employee files (digital and physical).
Update HRIS systems and employee databases regularly.
Prepare HR correspondence, memos, notices, and circulars.
Track probation periods, contract renewals, and employee anniversaries.
Ensure compliance with labor laws of the operating country.
Monitor and verify daily attendance, leave records, and overtime submissions.
Submit verified reports to payroll for monthly processing.
Support the reconciliation of timesheets from office and field locations.
Support the identification of training needs.
Schedule internal and external training programs.
Track training attendance and maintain competency records.
Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
Support disciplinary processes by preparing documentation and scheduling hearings.
Promote employee engagement initiatives and wellness activities
Ensure employee documentation complies with regulatory and company standards.
Coordinate mandatory training, medicals, certifications, and clearances
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience in HR coordination or similar administrative HR role.
Strong understanding of labor laws, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is an asset.
