The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist. This position is located in Brea, CA
Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day administrative support for assigned HR programs such as payroll, FMLA, associate files, and computerized records maintenance. May conduct research within well-defined parameters and compile statistical data for management’s use.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducts new hire orientations and communicates new hire associate benefits & handbook Completes all required record keeping requirements including processing all new hire documents Arranges and submits all new hire pre-employment screenings Recruits both exempt and non-exempt positions via job postings, advertisements, etc. Assist applicants, provide instructions in application process. Respond to associate inquiries relating to benefits, leave, etc. Prepare and maintain employment files. Provides customer service to all employee inquiries, questions, concerns Oversees FMLA process and processing all paperwork, letters, etc. Works closely with Operations, Transportation and Accounting on submitting payroll and payroll issues Provides regular reporting to Safety Manager and others as needed Interface with Third Party Administrator to provide required employment history for unemployment claims. Track and maintain associate’s leave balances. Ensure effective communication to the associates on corporate policies and practices salary increases are processed in a timely manner. Serves as liaison between associates, management and all other HR functions (payroll, benefits, AR, compensation, LR). May coordinate work activities of other HR specialist, verifying accuracy of completed work and providing input for training and problem resolution. Other duties as assignedQualifications:
College or vocational education experience preferred. HR Certification preferred Previous experience, usually six to 18 months in HR related position where some understanding of the laws, rules, and regulations related to assigned job responsibilities has been gained. Ability to follow verbal or written instruction. Work requires knowledge of the policies and procedures of the office or function. Possess a good understanding of office environments and procedures with demonstrated skills using personal computers and PC based systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.). Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information related to HR. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone. Good understanding of practices and procedures related to HR duties. Possess working knowledge of: American with Disabilities Act, Employee Rights & Privacy, FMLA and State Worker’s CompensationWe also provide a variety of benefits including:

The pay range is $25.38 to $30.00 per hour. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
